Are Guests Camera Phone Running Wedding Photography?

Guests using their camera phone on the wedding is a widespread issue for professional photographers. We, as photographers, try to document precious moments and deliver the best quality images possible for the couple, frankly, it's our job.

Incidents like someone jumped in front of the camera from the aisle, or "tag-along" next to the photographer to get similar pictures, are just a few matters that disturb our workflow. I do understand interruptions sometimes happen since we all want a good shot for our social media, especially in a beautiful venue and excited to see how gorgeous the couple is, but when those incidents happen, I just want to sing Aretha Franklin's "R-E-S-P-E-C-T...find out what it means to me" out loud.

After all, like Hannah Mbalenhle Stanley said in the article, "What exactly do you plan on doing with that photo? Honestly. Are you going to print it out? Save it? Look at it every day? No. You're not," "my bride would have printed this photo, looked at it often and reminisced over this moment as her dad walked her down the aisle on her wedding day." Let the couple have something to reminisce over will be one of the best gifts you give them for their big day. What's your opinion on this matter?
